Alastair Clarke was appointed to the Board of Directors to the John Howard Society of Manitoba (JHSM) in 2015. The organization was quite different at that time. JHSM received significant funding from the NDP government that was in power in Manitoba at that time. The Executive Director seemed to be doing a good job with staff and the union. The finances were in good condition.
Over the past 8 years, Alastair has volunteered many (many!) hours to help the JHSM. Volunteering is key to keeping not-for-profit organizations on track. The Board of the JHSM is an exceptional group of professionals that provide oversight of management, focused on the best interests of the organization as a whole. Alastair’s 8 year term on the Board has come to an end. The Board held a nice celebration to thank Alastair and the Board for their service.
