MPNP-SWO Granted

Congratulations to our clients from Pakistan who were selected by the MPNP-SWO program and they were granted Permanent Resident status! This category is notoriously difficult and there is a huge demand from applicants around the world. This family has connections to Brandon, Manitoba and they will be coming to be with their relatives soon. This is wonderful news.

We were retained to represent this family in the middle of 2020 to help bring family members from Pakistan. These applicants are highly skilled professionals with significant work experience. Their MPNP application was selected and they have been going through the steps to come to Canada.

This applicant was not straightforward. The MPNP Officer had concerns this family had the genuine intention of residing in Brandon. The COVID-19 pandemic also had a significant impact on this family. We have reported on the impact of the pandemic to Manitoba residents. These applications take time and families have to make decisions as to where they want to live and they have to consider the benefits for all family members.

We assisted this family – successfully – to reply to the MPNP- PFL. We specialize in these applications and we have helped many others through this process with success. The Officer accepted our arguments and the program accepted the particular circumstances of this family.

Draws at the MPNP-SWO program have not been frequent during the pandemic. The Manitoba government, as well as the Canadian government, has been focused on helping international students and workers who have been in Canada. As a result, there have been only a limited number of draws for workers overseas. To be competitive, workers overseas must have high scores to meet the minimum necessary points.

Our goal is to work with clients to improve their applications and make sure they get the maximum available points.

We have helped many clients navigate the MPNP streams, both through the SWM stream and the SWO stream. We have also assisted clients to submit profiles – concurrently – through Express Entry, to give them the best chance at being selected.
